Hey folks!! Short note!
So the D for Dragons is a day late. I’m sorry about that and it wasn’t intentional. I went out with family last night and when I got home, my internet was having hissy fits. I have satellite internet, (Joy, oh oh joy!) the wind was kicking up and so it decided it was going to go in and out for hours.
That being said, D and E will be done both today! Woohoo for A-to-Z Challenges. I’ll stop yabbering now and get to the goods!
D is for Dragons!
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just want to read something different. I don’t always read romance, it’s just my favorite genre, and most of the sub genres of it. 😉 Now-and-then, however, I’ll pick up a good fantasy novel. It could be romance fantasy, but I really have a thing for dragons. It doesn’t have to be any particular kind, I just love to read about them.
Gary and I threw our heads together (Not literally, that would hurt.) and came up with a list of books we’ve both read, that involve dragons! Regular dragons, water dragons, mystical dragons, shape-shifting dragons. Gold-hoarding dragons, reading dragons, cute dragons, scary dragons… Dragons, dragons, dragons!
I’ll be grouping the series together, and you can guess and choose who read which. 😀 (Likely, we’ve both read them though!)
The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien
Dragondoom by Dennis L. McKiernan
The Dragonstone by Dennis L. McKiernan
Eragon (Inheritance) series by Christopher Paolini – Arguably one of my favorite non romance series.
Dragon Fury series by Coreene Callahan – I’ll just go ahead and clue y’all in here. Gary and I have both read this series. (Save for the last book, which is not out yet.) If you want action packed, high-intensity para-romance, that kicks off from the get-go, read this series.
Dragonlance Chronicles by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman
Dragon Bound (Elder Races series) by Thea Harrison – This book starts an amazing series. It is not all about dragons after the first book, but it is about the people that protect the dragon. Another favorite series and extremely well written.
Dragon Fall by Katie MacAlister – This is the Dragon Fall series, relatively new. I believe Dragon Storm only came out in November of 2015. Katie MacAlister writes books that combine so many different things however, that I love them. Intrigue, suspense, some romance… characters that can make you laugh. 😀 Yeah, it’s a good one.
Dragon Actually by G.A. Aiken – Another series starter. This is the first book in the Dragon Kin series. I haven’t read this one yet, it’s been sitting on my GR TBR list for… awhile. I’m including it though!!
That is all for now, folks! Hope you enjoyed it and if you have a favorite book or series about dragons, let us know! I’m always on the lookout for more!!
